Application/Renewal for Membership

Goals and Purposes of FMAM

  1. To provide training and education of public officials involved in fire prevention duties.
  2. To enhance public education of fire safety and fire prevention method and practices.
  3. To preserve and improve the welfare of the community through advocacy of legislation designed to increase fire safety and fire prevention.
  4. To further the understanding of fire prevention practices through interaction and communication of ideas from the membership.

Types of Membership

ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP is available to public officials of state, county, city, or organized fire service agencies who are engaged in the prevention of fire through property inspection, fire code enforcement, and/or public fire education. Active members include: * Fire Chiefs * Fire Marshals * Fire Inspectors * Firefighters * Fire Training Officers * Building Officials *

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP is available to persons who have a fire safety interest but do not meet the requirements for active membership, such as: * Health Professionals * Fire Equipment Sales * Fire Protection Consultants *

Annual Dues with Post Indicator emailed - $35.00
Annual Dues with Post Indicator sent postal mail - $45.00

RETIRED MEMBERSHIP is available to persons who were Active FMAM members for five or more years and have retired from the fire service. This requires FMAM Board action. Annual dues: $10.00

LIFE MEMBERSHIP is available to persons who were Active FMAM members for ten or more years, have retired from the fire service, and have rendered distinctive service to the association as a Board member or Committee representative for five or more years. This requires Board action. Annual dues: $5.00
